Theoretical physicist Lope announced the Galileo program on Monday (26/7).

Lope is the longtime head of the Department of Astronomy at Harvard, which held the position from 2011-2020 and is currently a full-time professor of science at the university.

He rose to prominence after suggesting that an extraordinary object that came from outside the solar system in 2017 may be an extraterrestrial artifact that fell outside the sun.
