The Festival of Alternative Cultures is coming up, the Haru Fest 2023, which celebrates art, cosplay, anime, video games and Geek fandoms.
The event will have an exhibition area for works in comics, comics, manga and Costa Rican literature, in addition to various activities such as the K-pop dance contest and live concerts by animusic bands, representing the best of this genre in the country.
Likewise, it will also have the presence of renowned graphic artists and official guest cosplayers, publicizing their amazing work and captivating attendees.
Among the activities that attendees will be able to enjoy are: anime karaoke, traditional Japanese games, a Mario Kart Live Home racing circuit, Photobooths and talks on video game development, makeup, SciFi, anime and manga offered by prominent invited artists.
As a finishing touch, the event is preparing to receive Pepe (Toño) Masías, director and voice interpreter of numerous iconic characters, such as James from Team Rocket, Captain America, Legolas and Deadpool, this for Saturday, July 29. And a concert with Rodrigo Zea, singer of several official songs from the Pokémon anime who will perform his songs together with the national band Zukia that will be on Sunday 30.
An important detail to highlight is that the artist Pepe Toño Masías will be giving autographs, photographs and videos with the aim of raising funds for the Territorio de Zaguates shelter. He takes into account that this dubbing legend will only be at the event for one day.
The setting for this Geek party will be the Old Customs and the dates will be July 29 and 30. The hours for both days will be from 10 am to 7:30 pm The value of the ticket is ₡6,200 and is purchased on the day of the event; keep in mind that children under five and seniors are free.
