Shopping is expensive in the Benz barracks! At “Hartz und Herzen” Carmen and Dieter not only show off their new kitchen, but also reveal the price. Despite citizens’ money, a new kitchen – Carmen treats herself to “hard and warm”.
Carmen is full of joy, she is finally treating herself to a new kitchen. The reasons for this are simple: On the one hand, the old cupboards are falling apart, and on the other hand, Dieter needs space for his five coffee machines. The “Hartz und Herzlich” actors like to spend money, even when it comes to new kitchen furniture, they dig deep into their pockets.

Although the people of Mannheim bought their kitchen used, it was still not a bargain. “The main building now costs me 1,019 euros,” admits Carmen, “and then I also ordered cupboards and wall cupboards.” A pretty expensive undertaking: the two of them only receive a small income and are still able to save 50 euros a month, even though the “ Hartz and cordial” actors were unemployed for a long time.

She doesn’t reveal how much Carmen paid for the new stove. The rest of the kitchen was “cheaper than planned” and she paid a total of 1,800 euros for the furniture.
