HBO Max is preparing a series on the fantasy universe of Harry Potter that would be the first television foray of the famous saga about the wizard boy. Magazine The Hollywood Reporter He assured that this project is still taking its first steps and that the digital platform is exploring what direction this series could take.
For now, no names of the writers who could be behind the landing of Harry Potter on television have been released.
Of harry potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001) a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 2 (2011), the eight film adaptations of JK Rowling’s novels, starring Daniel Radcliffe, make up one of the most successful sagas in film history. Therefore, HBO Max’s decision to prepare a series about Harry Potter seems a logical move to continue exploiting the pull of these stories in the audiovisual landscape.
In the cinema, the world of Harry Potter extended beyond the central plot with the films of Fantastic animals, Fantastic animals and where to find them (2016) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018).
Next year the third film of Fantastic animals, again with Eddie Redmayne leading the cast.
For HBO Max, this television project about Harry Potter will prolong its tactic of continuing to squeeze out old successes, such as Sex in New York and Game of Thrones.
