Harry Potter and the TikTok Thirst Trap.
If you’ve been on TikTok in the past year, you will probably (no, absolutely) come across some sort of Harry Potter-themed thirst trap video. It happened to me this morning, and now I’m here to tell you all about it.
2020 has undoubtedly been the year of the DracoBirthday on the app, with Tom Felton arriving in the midst of the pandemic to usher in the era of DracoTok alongside an army of blonde haired “Sexy Draco Malfoy” lookalikes. biting.
But now, dear readers, it’s time for Harry Potter’s time to shine. TikToker Felix Lalo (@felixir_), who bares enough a striking resemblance to Daniel Radcliffe, appeared on my FYP just 3 hours ago and I actually couldn’t believe it.
Why? Well… look at this. In Ron Weasley’s immortal words, “Holy shit. ”
It seems I wasn’t the only one who was shaken by Potter’s revelation, either. This video alone has 8 million likes and has been viewed 38.4 million times (!!). The comments section is just as chaotic as you might imagine.
One person wrote: “I REALLY THOUGHT YOU WERE DANIEL RADCLIFFE FOR A QUICK SECOND! Don’t scare me like that anymore ”with another addition,“ the way my jaw dropped ”.
If you’re thirsty for more, Felix has plenty of other Harry Potter cosplay videos on his page, including a silhouette challenge video (with his uniform at obviously, get your minds out of the gutter) and a “nerd trap” video with the caption “Harry Potter will see you now”.
Felix first went viral on TikTok in February when he took part in the “I Look Like a Celebrity” challenge by posting a video of himself transforming into his famous Daniel Radcliffe lookalike.
Since then he has gained 1.3 million subscribers who can’t get enough of his Potter videos.
