Harry Maguire is on the verge of leaving Manchester United.
The 30-year-old defender was stripped of the captain’s armband in the run-up to pre-season and now ‘the world’s most expensive defender’ is set to leave Manchester United. According to Sky Sports, an agreement has been reached with West Ham.
The transition sum is expected to land at 30 million pounds, equivalent to 400 million kroner. A good bit from the 75 million pounds, equivalent to 1 billion kroner, that Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire in the summer of 2019, when he was bought off from Leicester.
According to the reports, there are still some details to be completed before the deal can be declared complete but the personal details are said not to be a problem and West Ham are optimistic of completing the transfer.
Maguire has made 175 appearances for United. His contract runs until the summer of 2025.
