Tottenham Hotspur not only losing a manager in the middle of the season, but also being affected by the case that ensnared the director. Harry Kane believed to be able to leave.
Tottenham Hotspur parted ways with Antonio Conte on March 26. Reportedly Conte felt there was a difference in ambition with the club, which led to divisions within the team.
While at the same time, Spurs were also affected by the legal case that ensnared Director of Football Fabio Paratici. Paratici was sanctioned by a ban on activities in the world of football due to his case when he was at Juventus.
These various problems again made Tottenham Hotspur’s planning questionable. The Lilywhites have never won again since winning the 2007/2008 English League Cup.
Alan Hutton, who defended Spurs in 2008-2011, saw that this situation could force Harry Kane to leave this summer. Moreover, he is supported by the duration of the contract, which only remains until June 2024.
“Surely that could force him to leave. There’s no denying the fact he loves the club and wants to stay there, to win trophies and bring success to the club,” he told Football Insiderquoted Football365.
“But with everything going on, even Paratici had to step down because of the case. Managers are gone, where are they going? These are all things that could tempt him to leave.”
“It’s a big decision for him and I think it’s a big decision for people like Daniel Levy and whoever he recruits as a manager. It’s a crossroads for them, especially for Harry Kane,” Hutton continued.
Harry Kane had wanted to leave in the summer of 2021, but in the end the 29-year-old striker stayed. Later he was linked with Manchester United.
