Harry Kane has accounted for three goals in three games in the league opening with Bayern Munich. The Englishman left his Tottenham this summer after 430 competitive matches for the club.
During the national team meeting, he talks about his first time in Germany.
– It’s definitely a different pressure compared to what I felt at Spurs. Of course we wanted to win things at Spurs but if you went a couple of games without winning it wasn’t a disaster,” he said, according to the Evening Standard.
– The feeling in Bayern Munich is that you have to win every game. We won the first two games 4-0 and 3-1 and there was talk that we wouldn’t be too happy with the way we played. It’s part of being at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Kane does not mince words that the lack of titles was part of his reason for leaving Tottenham.
– There is no hiding the fact that it (titles) is the only thing missing in my career at the moment and when you have players in the squad (national team) who have won things, you also want to be part of that.
England have started the European Championship qualifiers with four straight victories. On Saturday, the “Three Lions” face Ukraine.
