England striker Harry Kane successfully scored his 50th goal after breaking into the German goal. With that nick, Kane has now only lost to Wayne Rooney.
Kane saves English from a loss in a 1-1 result against German in the continuation of the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday (8/6/2022) in the morning WIB. The Tottenham Hotspur striker converted a penalty in the last three minutes of the game after sending Manuel Neuer tumbling in the wrong direction.
That goal against Germany marked Kane’s 50th goal for the Three Lions in 71 appearances, or since his debut in 2015. Harry Kane has officially become the second highest goalscorer in England’s history behind Rooney.
England’s all-time top scorer title is still held by Rooney with 53 goals. Kane is just three goals away from his senior record, which is likely to be achieved in England’s next two international matches against Italy (12/6) and Hungary (15/6).
“It feels good [bisa mencetak gol],” said Harry Kane to Channel 4. “I had a few chances before, the first one went over the bar and Manuel Neuer made a good save for the second.”
“We kept going and played our best football in the last half hour. It was good to get the goal and it’s a shame the goals didn’t add up at the end.”
“I really like scoring goals. I’ve always liked it especially for my country. Whenever I can help the team, I will be happy to do it,” continued the 28-year-old player.
“It’s very important to show mentality. Going 0-1 we showed good character to get back in the game and get a result. We played against a very good German team.” Harry Kane add.
