MUNICH – Four months after his transfer to Bayern, forward Harry Kane left a luxurious Munich hotel and moved to a rented house for Christmas, where he will finally live with his family.
At the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski hotel, the English footballer paid 10,000 pounds per night for his suite, according to British media, and his total bill climbed over a million pounds. He reportedly earns more than £400,000 a week, so he doesn’t have to worry about spending.
Before Christmas Day, Kane posted a photo on Instagram with the hotel staff saying thank you.
“Many thanks to the hotel staff, who have made me feel at home since I arrived in Munich. It helped me a lot to settle in so well. Thomas Müller was worried that my room was already too small, so it was time to say goodbye and leave with my family to yours,” wrote the 30-year-old gunner, who netted 21 goals in 16 rounds of the German league and can threaten the record 41 goals of his predecessor in the Bayern shirt, Robert Lewandowski, from the 2020/21 season.
According to the German media, the former Tottenham forward was looking for a house for so long because he did not want to buy any property, but only to rent it. The newspaper Bild wrote that he finally found a suitable object in Baierbrunn near Munich.
