Harry and Meghan receive an award at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards for their social work

Wearing a design by Christopher John Rogers, Meghan Markle reappeared in California at the annual NAACP Image Awards, awards given by the American National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to honor exceptional black people in film, television, music and literature, an event in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received the highest honor for their social work with the Archewell Foundation, an organization in favor of the African-American community. Prince Harry assured that he shares with Meghan the fight against injustice and Meghan pointed out that Black Lives Matter accentuated her commitment to the cause. Meghan’s dress has been widely compared to a design by Princess Diana in 1988 during her visit to Thailand and the Duchess invited her mother Doria Ragland on stage. On the other hand, at the ceremony, Jennifer Hudson was awarded in two categories and Zendaya announced the best film, while Will Smith, Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson also received recognition.
