Safety is important to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And all the more for their safety which, this Tuesday December 6 in New York, was pinned by the press. Instead the couple received an award at the Ripple of Hope gala of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, for denouncing the “structural racism” within the British royal family, their bodyguards they were photographed covering the plates with white tape of the black SUV carrying the Sussexes. However, according to the New York Highway Code, this deed constitutes an offense punishable by a $200 fine.
When a DailyMail.com photographer spotted the breach, one of Meghan and Harry’s security guards got angry and prevented him from taking a photo, reports the British tabloid. Once the former royal tandem entered the Hilton Midtown hotel where the ceremony was taking place, security removed the tape and said it was there to prevent the “stalker” average to chase the vehicle of the Duke and Duchess after the gala.

Meghan Markle insulted as she arrives at New York gala
Meghan and Harry’s arrival at the gala wasn’t easy either. As noted by the journalist of Point of viewThomas Pernette, Archie and Lilibet Diana’s mother was insulted as soon as she poked her nose out. “A man shouts to the crowd: ‘Meghan, you are destroying the royal family!'”this is how our colleague described, in the caption of the video excerpt shared on Twitter, this Wednesday 7 December.
This virulence is certainly related to the release, this Thursday 8 December, of the documentary series Harry and Meghan on Netflix. After two long years of waiting, the six-part program, of which the first three episodes are available today, really promises explosive revelations about how the Firm works and the chaotic experience of the Duchess within it.
