But thoughts go through your head all the time, especially since the week before the game, the media asks you about the victory kick, about all these things… Obviously, in the first quarter -time, I missed the first field goal, I didn’t really feel good in the warm-up. But you have to keep working on it, not thinking about “what ifs”: “what if you get one”, “what if you miss it”. You just have to focus on what you can control.
I kind of had it easy. The offensive line did a great job of blocking, and luckily the ball went through the posts, thank goodness. That’s what you dream of as a kicker, to go to the Super Bowl and get the winning kick. It’s crazy to think it happened now. It’s an incredible feeling. I’m just so happy now to be with the Chiefs, with great leaders. Patrick Mahomes did a great job leading us to this victory. »
