Harris’ lead over Trump is narrowing a week before the election – poll

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is still leading Republican challenger Donald Trump in national polls, but her lead has dwindled to a record low.

Details: According to poll results released on Tuesday, October 29, Harris’s national rating is at 44%, while Trump’s rating is at 43%. Two weeks ago the Democratic lead was larger – three percentage points.

The US vice president has led Trump in every Reuters/Ipsos poll of registered voters since July, and her lead has been steadily shrinking since late September .

As in previous polls, voters preferred the former US president when it came to the economy (47% vs. 37%) and immigration (48% vs. 33%).

On the other hand, Harris is considered more capable of dealing with the problem of political extremism (40% against 38%), but even here her advantage has decreased to two points out of seven, which was last week.
