Harp sounds in empty rooms | Radio Dresden

A room, a harp, a harpist – nothing else. That is the concept of Empty Spaces – a project by the Dresden harpist Sarah Christ. It arose in the lockdown when the question arose that preoccupies so many artists: What now?

Sarah Christ and her husband take advantage of the empty museums, gyms and restaurants. She plays in rooms that are otherwise full of people and actually not a concert venue and he films her. Videos have already been made in the hygiene museum and around the zoo.

Christ adapts her selection of pieces to each location. So the audience not only rediscover old rooms, but also experience the harp with a wide variety of music.
