Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire electric motorcycle division has announced pricing for its second electric motorcycle, the S2 Del Mar. Shipments are due to begin in the US in July, but buyers can reserve it now with a $100 deposit at a retail price of $15,499.
LiveWire will announce final specs in June, although it has given us an idea of what to expect. The brand says the S2 Del Mar, which weighs 195.5kg, will have a range of 177km around town on a single charge. LiveWire claims the battery can go from 20% to 80% in 75 minutes when connected to a Level 2 fast charger. The S2 Del Mar powertrain is expected to deliver 249.5 Nm of torque and be able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in 3.1 seconds.
Along with US pricing and release dates, LiveWire has revealed initial information on the S2 Del Mar for Europe. Bookings for the S2 Del Mar European Launch Edition will open on April 27th and require a €100 down payment, but only 100 electric scooters will be available at the start. Those who purchase the S2 Del Mar Launch Edition will receive an exclusive hand-painted finish and wheel design.
European deliveries of the Launch Edition are scheduled for September. The bike will cost €20,190 in France, €19,990 in Germany, €20,390 in the Netherlands and £18,990 in the UK. Details about the European production model will be revealed at a later date.
