Architect of the architectural office “Outofbox” Pēteris Bajārs has realized his childhood dream – he bought an old BMW, restored two more beetles and hopes to buy another dream car.
“Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are my days when I’m torn here,” says P. Bajārs, who has parked his antique cars in several garages in Riga. He owns a 1971 BMW, a 1956 Volkswagen Beetle convertible and another 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, but when it’s not cold, the main means of transport is a motorcycle that was planned to be lifted along the Adriatic Sea this year. . However, they are not the only cars owned by P. Bajārs.
He also owned the 1958 Volkswagen T1 and the 1980s Volvo several years ago. Most cars travel to Latvia from California – bus, convertible and BMW. “Somehow I really liked California because the cars from there are less rusty,” says the architect.
