Haris Savalanos is the son of Anna Diamantopoulou. The lyricist behind the great hits of Constantinos Argyrou spoke about his collaboration with the popular singer and his relationship with his mother.
“My mum was abroad and she gave me the task of getting words and rhyming. I learned to express myself through it. I have written “After I found you, I won’t leave you” and “I love you because”, “Eleftheros”. I wrote “Eleftheros” because the situation in my country hurt me, I was a student in 2012-2013 when Greece was going through a test” he said speaking on the MEGA show, “Buongiorno”.

Haris Savalanos could not be involved in politics, which, as he said, requires a strong stomach. In fact, talking about his mother, he got emotional.
“I couldn’t be in politics. What I learned from my mother’s path is that politics requires a strong stomach and putting your ego below the common interest and the country, even when the country may not treat you in the best way. (…) About 20 people had gathered outside our house with their banners calmly without deviating, a lady understood who I was and shouted to me if you want to change mothers we also adopt children”, he said.
He added: “I feel lucky to have Anna Diamantopoulou as a mother. I feel lucky not for the politician Anna Diamantopoulou, but for my mother.”
“I supported her with everything I had and it was what her heart was saying” he pointed out about his mother’s candidacy for the presidency of PaSoK.
