Haris Doukas: Can you imagine Greece without PaSoK? – The message for the 50th anniversary – 2024-08-29 07:42:03

Haris Doukas, the party’s leadership candidate, sends his message for the 50th anniversary of the founding of PASoK with a video.

Mr. Doukas adds that “today, 50 years after our establishment, all that we fought for, social justice, quality public health and education, social mobility, are at risk from a government that has a strategic plan to distribute a lot to few and few to many”.

He states how “it is our duty to defend and strengthen these achievements. To create a majority Movement in society. With a vision and plan for the country, which will focus on people, not markets. Because for us Greece does not belong to the few but to everyone! However, in order to gain the trust of the majority of Greeks, we first need to give strength to PASOK”.

The PASOK-KINAL leadership candidate notes the need for “a large faction open to society, deeply democratic within it, transparent in its operation, with functioning institutions. With our members having a say in decisions. With a new model of leadership, away from bossy and authoritarian perceptions and behaviors.”

He concludes by stressing that “now is the time to join forces and take the first step, to give PASOK an autonomous and majority, new momentum again! Now it’s time to overcome and win!”

50 years of PaSoK

Fifty years will be completed on Tuesday, September 3, the historic September 3, 1974 for the political events of our country, when the founding declaration of PaSoK was presented by Andreas Papandreou.

Andreas Papandreou, with the proclamation of September 3rd, establishes this party which is going to play a leading role in the post-colonial era. His iconic presence in the white shirt, without a tie and his conviction to found a party despite the difficulties of the project which they had persistently pointed out to him, leave an indelible mark and change the political landscape of Greece.
