Haris Doukas: Call to the “voters of Michalis, Pavlos, Anna and Nadia” (Video) –

Five days before the crucial Sunday of the elections for PASOK president, Haris Doukas, called on his co-candidates and their voters to support him in the second round, in an interview he gave to the Attica TV station.

“I think from the discussions so far that we have a lot in common. And they connect the voters of Michalis and Pavlos, but also of Anna and Nadia. We have a lot in common. The first is the need for PASOK to open up, to become inclusive, to have networks, to have sectors, to put forward the new generation, to have a parliamentary group that meets and decides and this is done in terms of equity and equality and at the same time feels the each and every one of them is a leader in their field. That’s why I can say that this need connects us”, said the PASOK candidate for president and mayor of Athens.

“And the second need is that the change of leadership is needed to be able to change direction in the country and create a new momentum. Let’s go for an economic, social and climate justice and this is what the ND failed miserably”, he stressed.

“We have to say that we don’t have time and the changes must be made immediately as there is the back door of populism, the extreme right. The world outside will not wait for us and we will not have another chance. If we do not immediately respond with courage and boldness to the basic problems of the world, there is a danger, as happened in Europe, that the Right and the Far Right will exist and we will be locked in debating until paralysis,” he added.
