The mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, appeared particularly optimistic about Marina Satti’s candidacy for this year’s Eurovision, stating that Athens is ready to host the next event.
Speaking on Zoe Pre’s podcast, Haris Doukas referred to this year’s Eurovision which will take place in Malmö, specifically in the “Malmö Arena”, Sweden, on May 11, 2024.
The mayor of Athens praised Satti’s New Year’s performance in the municipality of Athens and promised that if the performer succeeds in winning the first place and bringing the trophy, then the municipality of Athens guarantees the best next event.
“Marina Satti sang in the Municipality of Athens on New Year’s Day. I hope to be a gourlis and bring Eurovision to Athens. […] Athens can host Eurovision 2025, we are not debating it, and it will be the best event. Let him bring first place and we will solve the rest. Good luck, we are waiting for the trophy.”
