Haris Azhar does not want to be ‘hanged’ in the Luhut case: If you are wrong, please punish

Lokataru Director Haris Azhar has been named a suspect in the case of defamation Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Haris asked for legal certainty in this case.

“I want to be confirmed, I don’t want to be hanged. Whether I’m convicted or not, I want to find certainty,” said Haris at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Wednesday (23/3/2022).

Haris said he wanted the case to go to court as soon as possible. He said he was ready to be punished if later the court’s decision found him guilty.

“If I am not wrong, I ask for it to be stopped. If I am wrong, please punish me,” he said.

Submit Evidence of ‘Luhut in the Papua Mine’

Haris Azhar | today again visited the Polda Metro Jaya. Together with his lawyer, Nurkholis Hidayat, he submitted evidence supporting the statement about ‘Luhut in Papua’s mining business’.

“So we have about 15 or 20 list the evidence we provide and it doesn’t stop here, we can still deliver the next one,” said Nurkholis.

“Evidence starts from footnotes and authentic proof of legal, legal, valid company documents,” he added.

Haris Azhar said the evidence submitted by his party must be reviewed by investigators. The evidence is expected to be a comparison for the police in looking at the case reported by Luhut.

According to Haris, the evidence submitted by his party today is not only related to research results that include Luhut’s involvement in the Papuan mining business. However, the evidence also includes company documents showing Luhut’s involvement in the mining business.

“We bring evidence that our evidence is no longer just research by 9 organizations, but materials written by 9 organizations. For example, the articles of association of the company, then a statement from the regulation in Australia which states that there are various shares of companies that mention names. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan earlier,” explained Haris.

Haris further asked investigators to re-evaluate the investigation that had been carried out by examining the evidence he submitted today.

“He said the reporter said equality before the law, We also have the right as the suspect to state evidence. Please be tested,” explained Haris.
