Human rights activists Haris Azhar | revealed the moment when he would be forcibly picked up by the authorities police at his office on Tuesday (18/1) this morning.
To reporters, Haris admitted that he did not mind if it had to be examined today. However, said Haris, this examination was indeed quite sudden.
“I’m nothing, I’m disappointed because I haven’t showered yet, that’s about it,” said Haris at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday (18/1).
Haris said police officers came to his office at around 08.00 WIB. The officer showed a warrant to bring him in for questioning as a witness in the defamation case reported by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
To the police officer, Haris admitted that he had asked about the examination schedule. Because, as far as he knows, the examination is scheduled for February 7 next.
“But the investigators who came this morning did not explain,” said Haris.
“But attitudeIt’s okay, they don’t have any physical effort, there’s nothing. So, ask to attend. I was flirting, I said tomorrow, they said today if they can. Yes, I told you at 10 o’clock, at 11 o’clock, I was here,” added the former KontraS Coordinator.
On the same occasion, KontraS Coordinator, Fatia Maulidyanti, conveyed that the incident she experienced was almost similar to Haris.
Fatia revealed that at that time there were four to six police officers who came to her house with a summons to be examined as witnesses.
“But I refused, because I said I would come there myself today at 11 am I said. After that they said goodbye and did not take them forcibly,” he said.
Furthermore, Fatia also mentioned that usually there is confirmation first to her regarding the examination agenda. And not done suddenly like this morning.
“Yes, usually there is confirmation first by telephone, but suddenly this morning it arrived,” he said.
For information, Haris and Fatia were questioned for approximately six hours by investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya on the report submitted by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.
During the examination, investigators asked Haris 17 questions, while Fatia was asked 20 questions by investigators. The question in the investigation is said to be related to research on Luhut being involved in the mining business in Papua.
“Also ask research sources or related data that mentions the alleged involvement of Lubut Binsar Panjaitan which has actually been explained in his research as well. Apart from that, questions related to methodology and others, which have already been answered through the examination process, ‘ said Fatia.
