JWANTED, JAMBIEKSPRES.CO.ID- A blessing ahead of the 2023 Eid homecoming, the price of fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia has fallen again.
This time, the reduction in fuel prices began on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Pertamina Persero immediately kicked off by lowering 3 types of fuel prices. According to the announcement on the Pertamina Persero website which was uploaded on Friday (31/03) at around 22.00 WIB, the 3 types of fuel that were lowered were, Pertamax Turbo or RON 98, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex (Pertadex).
The price of Pertamax Turbo or RON 98, which experienced a price increase in March 2023, on April 1, 2023 fell by IDR 100 per liter to IDR 15,000 per liter from the previous price of IDR 15,100 per liter.
The price for Dexlite fuel has dropped significantly, namely IDR 700 per liter to IDR 14,250 per liter from the previous price of IDR 14,950 per liter.
Then the price of Pertamina Dex (Pertadex) fell by IDR 450 per liter from IDR 15,850 per liter to IDR 15,400 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of Pertalite and Solar subsidized fuel until April 1, 2023 has not changed, alias is still the same. The price of Pertalite fuel remains at IDR 10,000 per liter and the price of diesel fuel at IDR 6,800 per liter.
“PT Pertamina (Persero) made adjustments to the price of general fuel oil (BBM) in order to implement the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of ESDM No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 as an amendment to Ministerial Decree No. 62 K/12 /MEM/2020 concerning the Basic Price Formula in Calculating Retail Selling Prices for General Types of Gasoline and Diesel Oil Distributed Through Public Fuel Filling Stations,” said the announcement on Pertamina’s website Friday (31/03).
The move to lower fuel prices from Pertamina Persero was followed by private fuel providers in Indonesia starting with Shell Indonesia, PT Vivo Energy Indonesia and British Petroleum (BP)-AKR.
Starting April 1, 2023, private fuel provider Shell Indonesia will reduce 4 types of fuel, namely Shell V-Power, Shell V-Power Diesel, Shell V-Power Nitro + and Shell Diesel Extra.
The price for Shell v-Power, for example, starting April 1, 2023, has decreased by IDR 100 per liter from the previous IDR 14,890 per liter to IDR 14,790 per liter.
The price for Shell V -Power Diesel, starting April 1, 2023, will drop by IDR 560 per liter to IDR 15,440 per liter from IDR 16,000 per liter previously.
Meanwhile, fuel for the Shell V-Power Nitro + type, starting April 1, 2023, will decrease by IDR 140 per liter to IDR 15,100 per liter from the previous IDR 15,240 per liter.
Shell Indonesia’s highest fuel price reduction was recorded for the Shell Diesel Extra fuel type. The decline in the price of Shell Diesel Extra occurred in two regions namely, East Java and North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
For East Java, the price of Shell Diesel Extra fell by Rp 800 per liter to Rp 14,270 per liter from the previous price of Rp 15,070 per liter.
