The central defender of the Red Devils of Toluca, Haret Ortega, revealed where he ‘acquired’ that style to collect penalties that was seen in the 2021 Apertura playoff against the UNAM Pumas and assured that from the quarry, he copied the way to Raúl Alonso Jiménez.
In an interview for W Deportes, Haret Ortega, a youth squad player for the Eagles, said that the style he took from the Wolverhampton striker when he saw him in Basic Forces in America.
I saw Raúl shooting penalties and that’s how I was inspired, then I created my style”, commented Haret Ortega, who now plays with the Red Devils of Toluca.
Ortega was in charge of collecting the penalty against Pumas and his manner attracted attention, since he received as ‘9’; rare in a central defender.
In America he was from the Basic Forces Sub 13 in 2013 and left in 2019 to reach the Red Devils of Toluca.
