Hardship Aid for Small and Medium-Sized Companies in Brandenburg to be Available from Next Week

Small and medium-sized companies in Brandenburg should be able to apply for hardship aid from next Tuesday. “With the hardship case aid, the state supports small and medium-sized companies in cases where the federal government’s price brakes for the various energy sources are not sufficient,” said Tillmann Stenger, CEO of the Brandenburg State Investment Bank. A total of 30 million euros from federal funds would be available for this, which could be applied for online via the investment bank’s customer portal from Tuesday.

Accordingly, small and medium-sized companies with headquarters in Brandenburg and up to 250 employees are eligible to apply. The prerequisite is still that the companies have consumed a lot of energy and have been affected by the sharp increases in energy prices. “Both grid-bound energy sources such as gas and non-line-bound energy sources such as liquid gas, oil or coal can be taken into account in the funding.”
