It comes from the hills of Alexandria
The wine we want to recommend to the reader today comes from Piedmont. Not from the Langhe, however, which everyone in the world knows for the perfect wine to use for making mulled wine.
We are talking about the province of Alessandria, close to Liguria, Lombardy and also Emilia Romagna. In the hills of Alessandria the winemakers produce the famous Timorasso.
It is a white berried wine, which is typical of Tortona and Novi Ligure. This wine has known little luck in history: the area is very suitable for the production of red wines, more profitable. Then, with the invasion of phylloxera, the vineyards almost disappeared. Only recently some winemakers have wanted to reinstate it, with great success.
