In short, the water ladder cannot be avoided. They are actually residues of calcium and magnesium that remain on objects after the hard water evaporates. It is usually off-white or gray and looks unsightly wherever it settles down.
We can meet it on faucets, shower heads, it settles in washing machines and it can even clog our toilet. It is the toilet bowl that provides the absolutely ideal conditions for scale formation, because the water inside it remains continuously.
If you do not want to buy expensive products at the pharmacy, we will advise you on how to remove the annoying stone without unnecessary costs.
Use vinegar and baking soda
You will need:
- 3 cups of white vinegar
- cup of baking soda
- Toilet brush
- Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the toilet bowl and use a brush to mix it well with the standing water.
- Add a cup of baking soda and the remaining 2 cups of vinegar. Vinegar and soda react with each other by foaming. Again, use the brush to make sure the solution reaches all of the stone, even the one above the waterline.
- Leaving it on overnight is best. In the morning, scrub again with a brush and rinse.
And you are done. Instead of baking soda, you can also combine vinegar with lemon juice.
If you want to prevent limescale build-up in the future, we recommend that you do so clean the bark with vinegar 1 time a week. Just pour 4 cups of vinegar down the toilet in the evening and rinse in the morning.
Coca-Cola will also help you
Another option you can try is Coca-Cola. You may find the idea rather bizarre, and if you like Coke, you won’t want to flush it down the toilet. But paradoxically, even its slightly acidic properties can help you.
Empty the Coke bottle down the toilet and let it sit overnight. In the morning, she scrubs the stone with a brush and rinses.
Cover the taps with vinegar
If you make a solution of 1 part vinegar and 1 part water, you can use it in a spray bottle on tiles, bathtubs and faucets – virtually anywhere you have limescale.
If more limescale has accumulated on the faucet, simply soak a piece of cloth in the vinegar and cover it overnight. You can also rub them with lemon juice. The next day, you can easily wash off the damaged limescale.
