Hard Rock Cafe Prague: Prices, Menu, and Review | A Closer Look at the Iconic Music-themed Restaurant

Hard Rock Cafe can be found almost everywhere. The first ever was in England and from there it reached other cities, New York, Paris, Vienna, Prague, but also Wroclaw.

It is a network of typical restaurants, which also includes a Hard Rock Cafe clothing store, but often also a museum. It was founded in 1971 in London, followed by the Prague branch in 2009.

It is located in the beautiful historic building of VJ Rotta, which is included in the list of UNESCO’s national cultural heritage. The Old Town Square is just a few steps from here.

Of course, there is a souvenir shop.

The restaurant itself is large. There is even a smaller stage on the lower floor for organizing various musical events. The decoration of the entire restaurant is also related to the music, there are many guitars hanging on the walls. The Prague Hard Rock Café has a total of 1,900 square meters, which makes it the second largest branch in Europe.

If we don’t count the press conferences that are sometimes held here, we visited this world-famous company about three times this year. We even wrote about Lionel Messi’s burger – we didn’t like it very much.

REVIEW: He won the Champions League four times, the Spanish league ten times, the South American Copa América once and at the end of last year he managed to…

The prices at Prague’s Hard Rock Cafe probably won’t surprise anyone. We can even say that it is nothing extra special for the center of Prague. If you visit here yourself, expect that the visit will not cost less than 400 crowns.

Hard Rock distributes through Wolt and Dáme Jídó. For example, ribs with fries cost 485 crowns, a Big cheeseburger with meat weighing 170 grams costs 285 crowns.

The prices at Wolt are slightly more favorable than in the restaurant. Directly on the spot, the so-called Bangkok prawns cost 405 crowns, while through the delivery platform only 300. The weight is not indicated in any of the menus. If you order them on the spot, you’ll also get coleslaw.

It’s the same with the wings, which we can only recommend, they are more expensive in the restaurant, but you have vegetables with blue cheese sauce.

Abstainer has a hard time here

However, during our visits we were primarily interested in the prices of the drinks. Abstainer has it quite difficult here. Those who would like to have a beer will pay 95 kroner for a large draft Staropramen, while Stella Artois is 105 kroner.

Soda, probably from the postmix, is the same price as Staropramen. Still or sparkling water in the size of 0.33 liters is 75.

Home-made lemonade, which is now a regular part of the menu, costs almost twice as much as beer here – 175 crowns. It can be enjoyed, for example, with fresh strawberries and basil.

That lemonade with fruit is more expensive than golden juice is actually nothing new. We compared the differences between soft drinks and beer in other businesses. We focused on restaurants only in the center of Prague.

Brasileiro U Zelené Žáby, which belongs to the Ambiente group, is located just a few meters next to the Hard Rock Cafe. This taps a pint of Pilsner beer for 75 crowns. He has three homemade lemonades available (guava, tropical and sour cherry), the price is 98 crowns, i.e. a difference of twenty-three crowns.

INTERVIEW: Last week, the Polish Sejm passed a ban on the sale of energy drinks with caffeine and taurine under the age of 18. On this matter…

Deer Restaurant in Michalská street offers lemonades in lemon, strawberry and raspberry flavors for 110 kroner, Staropramen beer is 21 kroner cheaper.

The Mincovna restaurant on Old Town Square has a pint of Pilsner Urquell for 69 crowns. Homemade lemonades, such as cucumber or raspberry, are sixteen crowns more expensive. “Homemade” fresh mint iced tea even costs the same as beer.

In other places it is practically the same. Homemade lemonade is more expensive everywhere, but by a maximum of thirty crowns. Nowhere have we found such a difference as at Hard Rock Café.

We asked Markéta Čermáková, psychologist and director of the Prague outpatient clinic NEO Centrum, what she thought about the fact that alcoholic beverages are cheaper than non-alcoholic beverages. We will bring her answers in the next text.
