Harburg and St. Pauli: two stabbings in Hamburg | Regional

Hamburg – A 20- and 24-year-old man was critically injured in two stabbings in the Hanseatic city over the weekend.

In both cases, doctors saved the victims with an emergency operation, and the homicide commission is investigating in each case because of an attempted homicide.

Tatort Hamburg-Harburg: A 20-year-old man was critically injured in an argument late on Friday evening on Harburger Poststrasse/Neuländer Platz.

According to initial findings, the young man had gotten into an argument with his roommate from the central initial reception center for refugees for reasons that were not yet known. In the course of the argument, the 24-year-old Algerian inflicted several cuts on his neck and thighs, injuring him life-threateningly. The suspect then fled the scene.

The injured man was transported to a hospital in an ambulance and under emergency medical supervision. He is now out of danger.

Immediately initiated search measures did not lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Crime scene Hamburg-St. Pauli: Early Sunday morning, a 24-year-old was critically injured with a knife by a previously unknown perpetrator on the Reeperbahn. Here, too, an argument triggered the act of violence. The opponent pulled a knife and stabbed the 24-year-old in the upper body. The suspect then fled in the direction of Holstenstraße.

The man had to be taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses who saw the argument between the two men are asked to call the police on 040/4286-56789.
