DARMSTADT – “Between knowledge and belief – this is how science influences our lives”, this is the title of the next event in the series “Handicraft meets …” on Monday, November 8th, starting at 7 pm in the Centralstation in Darmstadt. The guest is astrophysicist and science journalist Professor Dr. Harald Lesch. The event will be moderated by the Frankfurt journalist Michel Friedman. The host is the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Chamber of Crafts, this time in cooperation with the Darmstadt-Dieburg District Craftsmen’s Association.
For the event on November 8th, the Chamber of Crafts has won Harald Lesch, a very exciting interlocutor. Lesch is Professor of Physics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and also has a teaching position for natural philosophy at the University of Philosophy in Munich. At the same time he moderates the ZDF science magazine “Leschs Kosmos” and the “Terra X” series “Faszination Universum”. Lesch and Friedman also want to touch on the major topics of knowledge and education on this evening.
The Frankfurt-Rhein-Main Chamber of Skilled Crafts has launched the “Skilled Crafts Meets …” discussion format with the aim of promoting dialogue between the skilled trades and society and politics.
The event takes place in a hybrid format, i.e. also as a live stream on the Internet. It is possible to register for the event and watch the talk live in the Centralstation. The 2G rules apply.
