Berlin – Is the YouTube scene faltering again? Call of Duty YouTuber HapticRush is making serious allegations against the popular channels GamerBrother and Tisi Schubech. A few weeks ago, HapticRush had already publicly suggested that the channels were using bought clicks, so-called viewbotting. Now comes the next bombshell: In a comprehensive video, he presents detailed evidence of the manipulation of the number of views.
The allegations against GamerBrother and Tisi Schubech: Viewbotting on a large scale
The evidence: The main focus of the allegations is the FIFA channel Broski, GamerBrother’s second channel, and Tisi Schubech’s main channel. In his new video, HapticRush shows concrete analytics data from these channels and points to a sudden, unnatural increase in views. What is particularly striking is that a considerable proportion of the views come from India:“61.5% of the clicks come from India, even though this channel does not otherwise have a large Indian audience. Viewbotting scandal: reactions and resistance
It’s about the principle: While some see the whole issue as plausible, others have expressed skepticism in the past and accused HapticRush of doing this out of pure self-interest. But the YouTuber defends himself: “You literally only have to type my name into YouTube to see that I have no interest in promoting myself at the expense of others. Particularly explosive: The former manager of GamerBrother, who is referred to anonymously as “Max”, also joined the discussion and partially confirmed HapticRush’s claims. According to him, they were victims of viewbotting, but HapticRush refutes this statement.
