The National Pharmaceutical and Food Health Institute (OGYÉI) is relaunching its campaign to promote drinking water with valuable prizes in connection with World Water Day (March 22).
Between March 20 and 24, 1,031 kindergartens and schools joined this year’s Happy Week program, which warns about the importance of water consumption in schools and kindergartens, as well as the harmful effects of sugary soft drinks and energy drinks.
It was announced that the institutions can once again participate in a prize draw, in which they can win 10 sports vouchers worth HUF 150,000. An additional 20 HUF 20,000 book vouchers will be drawn among those participating in the monitoring program that assesses the impact and effectiveness of the Happy week – with the help of an online questionnaire that can be filled out in a few minutes.
The thematic health week can be put together by institutions every year in connection with their programs organized for World Water Day on March 22; in playful lessons, activities, and sports events, young people can learn about the role of water, the importance of fluid replacement, and the harmful consequences of excessive consumption of sugary soft drinks and energy drinks. For the organization of these programs, OGYÉI offers a variety of ideas and downloadable resources, which are accessible throughout the year on the merokanal.hu website.
It was announced: messages promoting water consumption have reached an average of 76,000 young people each year with the Happy Week event.
