Happy tones from MFF’s new Star Danish

NORRKÖPING/STOCKHOLM. Malmö FF pulverized IFK Norrköping 5-1 in the premiere.
In the starting eleven, new acquisition Jens Stryger Larsen made a solid impression.
– It will be a really good season, says the Dane to FotbollDirekt.

Malmö FF ran over IFK Norrköping with a whopping 5-1 in the premiere of Allsvenskan 2024. A demonstration of power by the Swedish champions who already look difficult to beat.

In the starting eleven, the Danish new acquisition Jens Stryger Larsen made his Allsvenskan debut. The defender was not unexpectedly in a good mood when he spoke to FotbollDirekt after the match.

– Maybe it wasn’t the best game from us today during the match. But we still win 5-1 when maybe we didn’t have our best day. Therefore, I think it will be a really good season, says the Dane and continues to review the experience of his Allsvenskan debut:

– I’m really happy that we’re up and running now. We have a fantastic squad. The bench is also very good.

In advance, experts and thinkers have indicated that Malmö’s squad is so good that they will “jog” home the Allsvenskan in 2024. When Stryger Larsen is asked the question, he laughs.

– I’ve heard about it, but I don’t read much. The pressure on us is great, but I don’t think we will jog home this season. No team in the world jogs home an entire season. But we have great faith in ourselves, says the 33-year-old.

Jens Stryger Larsen has a solid playing career behind him with games in clubs such as Trabzonspor, Udinese and Austria Wien. He also has 54 international matches for Denmark on the merit list.

For Malmö FF, Hammarby awaits next in the home opener on April 7.
