/ world today news/ Once again on May 24, the Bulgarian people quite naturally and emotionally demonstrated the real dimensions of this truly most Bulgarian holiday. This spontaneity is a consequence not of institutional obligations, but springs from the historical depths of the Bulgarian collective psyche, of the perceived Bulgarian uniqueness in history, the present and the future.
However, the historical truth obliges us to take one more step, dear ladies and gentlemen, my dear comrades and comrades – to confirm that this is not about “Slavic” writing, but about the Feast of the Bulgarian alphabet, writing, culture and Orthodoxy. The latter is very important not only because the Holy Brothers are precisely Orthodox Saints, but also because of the final realization of the Bulgarian mission and existential meaning both in history and in the present and the future. For the realization of the fact that Bulgaria is the Historical Subject of the Civilization of the Cyrillic alphabet and Orthodoxy, which would lay the foundation for the construction of a consistent Bulgarian national doctrine, for the formulation of the Bulgarian vision for the establishment of the state and for filling the concrete content of the long-forgotten Bulgarian dream. Only the realization of these fundamental tasks before today’s Bulgarian society is able to turn Bulgaria into the natural center of the Cyrillic alphabet and Orthodoxy, through which future generations can regain the dignity and joy of their own existence here, in their homeland!
Dear ladies and gentlemen, my dear comrades and comrades, these basic dimensions of a conscious modern patriotism have nothing to do either with the Nazi salute to the wax Hitlerite officer and to the German tank, nor with today’s reality of being only obedient servants of the so-called “Euro-Atlantic partners”! Contemporary modern patriotism requires the future elites, either intellectual or political, to reformulate the very place of Bulgaria in the world – in the past, in the present and in the future, which corresponds to the very Civilizational Subjectivity of the Bulgarian people! Anything else will be a continuing disintegration of statehood and the disintegration of the Bulgarian national organism!
This is the situation, dear ladies and gentlemen, my dear comrades!
