Happy ending: These celebrities look back positively on 2020

Although 2020 was also challenging for them, these Graz celebrities have experienced a lot this year.

In the annual reviews of 2020, Corona clearly dominates, as this virus has and still has the world under control. Nonetheless, local celebrities have every reason to look back positively on this challenging year. “Of course, my summer wedding outshone everything,” reveals antenna pick-me-up and SK Sturm stadium announcer Thomas Seidl. “We were lucky and caught a phase of the year with our appointment in which everything was a little more relaxed and of course we are super happy,” said Seidl, who married her colleague Verena Seidl, formerly Lesky.

“A highlight for me was that we started a new project for the ‘Homeless Worldcup’, in which we focus on the national level, and that we women footballers were classified in the funding pot of top-class sport, which is good recognition. It’s also great that everything has calmed down and you had more time for yourself, your family and friends instead of always walking around stressed, “says SK Sturm midfield director Emily Cancienne in 2020.

Successful in the Corona year

The same is true of singer and TV presenter Willi Gabalier, who has landed two new jobs at Servus TV. He travels all over Austria in “Heimatsterne” and in “Bares für Rares” he discovers valuable, ancient treasures that Austrians have at home. “That is my secret passion and my art history studies paid off,” laughs Gabalier, who is also happy privately. The only downer: “Due to my new professional obligations, I saw my wife Christiana less often.”

The Styrian designer Eva Poleschinski, as she says, got the best out of this year, even if many events were canceled. “The beginning of the year with the opera redoubt in collaboration with Klaus Weikhard or my clothes at the Vienna Opera Ball, which were worn by organizer Maria Großbauer and model Barbara Maier, among others, were highlights,” says Poleschinski, looking back. She used the “Corona improvisation time” for mask production. “I am extremely grateful for the loyalty of my network and my customers and it is nice to see that you can rely on it,” the designer in question sums up. And the year ended positively for Poleschinski: Her robes were recently examined by a TV audience of millions: Michelle Hunziker shone in Eva Poleschinski on German television, while Kristina Inhof relied on Styrian craftsmanship in Dancing Stars.

Thumbs up: Despite the challenges, designer Eva Poleschinski can gain a lot of positive things from this year.
