Happy 35 years Robert Pattinson! He is no longer that adolescent actor

Robert Pattinson turned 35 on May 13. The actor was born in 1986 in London and throughout his life he has built a great acting career. However, in his early years he was listed as an actor intended solely for adolescent roles. Undoubtedly, over the years he has left that label behind.

After being expelled at age 12 from his elementary school, Pattinson began a modeling career and at age 15 began acting in minor plays. In 2004 he made his television debut in Ring of the Nibelungs and then went through Vanity Fair, but the first leap to the big screen was made in 2005, playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

After this role, he had to play Edward Cullen, one of the protagonists of the film adaptation of the Twilight saga, written by Stephenie Meyer. Although the critics did not praise these films, they were a box office success and received such awards as Scream Awards, People’s Choice Awards, MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

“I prefer to stay making films that try to reach interesting places with directors I admire, a cinema that has changed my life”, he was able to declare then, clarifying that it was very difficult for him to get rid of the leading image in Twilight.

Years later, he has managed to build a very solid career with titles such as The Lost City of Z (2016), Good Time (2017), High Life (2018), The Lighthouse (2019), The Devil all the Time and Tenet (2020). Right now he is planning another role that is sure to be talked about: he will be Bruce Wayne / Batman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
