Argentina clinched their place in the Qatar 2022 World Cup final by beating Croatia in the first round of the semi-finals.

Jumps… hugs… And with patriotic songs, full of emotion they celebrated the triumph of Lionel Messi.
Messi converted a penalty and was involved in Julián Álvarez’s other two goals, giving Argentina a 3-0 victory over Croatia.

At 35, Messi is doing his best to win football’s top prize for the first time.
“To all of Argentina, to all Hispanics in New York, we dedicate this victory, this final,” said Ricardo Guevara.
“We are in the final, so we are very happy, very happy,” added Gustavo Alcayaga.
The Argentine team seeks to win the World Cup, something it hasn’t achieved since 1986 at the hands of Diego Maradona.
But his fans are hoping that Messi will play the role of Maradona and take home the World Cup.

“For me Messi is the best of this era, along with Maradona who was from another era but for me they are the greatest in football,” said another fan. “And we hope that it will be given to him and that we can raise the cup, the third coveted one”.
Both teams met after qualifying on penalties. Argentina beat the Netherlands and Croatia beat Brazil.
France and Morocco will play their next match this Wednesday. Whoever wins will face Argentina to determine who will win the cup.
“We will win it,” the fans assure.
