During the Hanukkah holiday, between December 11 and December 14, the Israel Children’s Museum in Holon, together with HML Hayor, offer special activities dealing with heroism and light, an illustration exhibition, and unique creative workshops.
The illustration activities will take place alongside the favorite and well-known itineraries, activities and adventures at the Israel Children’s Museum: ‘Trip with Yanshul’, ‘Following the Butterflies’, ‘Where Mish’, ‘The Beatles – The Mysterious Magic Journey’, the ‘Invitation to Silence’ exhibition, the ‘Dialogue with Time’ exhibition , the ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ exhibition and a variety of different activities for children and the whole family.
All the activities in the children’s museum have unique characteristics and each track has a different educational intention. The museum strives to emphasize and give museum visitors an exciting and empowering experience combining important values, relating to emotional intelligence, coping with life skills and values of openness and respect for others and others. In all activities, the visitors take an active part in the different stories: they experience, feel, get excited and learn to know their inner self.

“illustration workshops” For ages 8 and up
Hmal Hayor was established with the aim of easing the experiences of children and families during the war. Over time, the array of Hmal expanded, which today also work to create informative, inspirational and encouraging content for a wide range of ages. The participants will go through various illustration workshops on light and heroism under the guidance of the HML instructors. Price: 15 NIS

“Escapism” exhibition to all the family
What makes us happy in difficult times? What is our safe space? The “Escapism” project was created out of the need for a visual time-out. With the endless scroll full of bad news, there is an obligation to return the color and positivity to the norm, and to remind that it is also possible to escape for a moment from reality. Followers were asked what escapism is for them and the answers were illustrated by the volunteer illustrators at HML. The price is included in the entrance fee to the museum
“Trip with Inshul“For ages two and a half – four
The small “Yanshul” (half owl half cat) has just hatched from the egg and already wants to meet new friends who live in the magical forest. But he is ashamed. So what do you do when you are shy?
The children go with Hinshul on a journey in the magical forest, a journey in search of new friends.
Along the way, the children meet not only friends, but also a variety of textures, sounds, feelings and emotions that invite them (and accompanying parents) to amusing and surprising experiences.

“Following the butterflies“For ages two and a half – four
A route that presents to the children, through the life cycle of the butterfly, different families of butterflies while examining the concepts of similar and different. An active show where the children become part of the show.

A legendary journey that follows the change of the world around us as a result of the cycles of life.

Zig and Zag, who are not aware of the cycle of life, turn to the help of Mr. Yanshul who unfolds a magical legend about the kingdom of time.

A fictional journey about discovering the world of our emotions. The children try to restore the situation and catch the elf. During the chase they experience an entertaining adventure. They reach the clouds and the snow mountain and there with the help of the white wizard the problem is solved.
