Hansi Flick to Alaba: Signs New Contract Dong

David Alaba continue to be urged to immediately sign a new contract. However, coach Bayern Munich Hansi Flick could only surrender if Alaba had other plans.

Alaba’s contract with Bayern has only one more season left, aka the summer of 2021. That means Alaba can freely negotiate with other clubs starting in January, if Bayern cannot agree on a new contract.

The problem is, Alaba is still refusing to extend his stay from Bayern. There are rumors that if this happened because of salary matters, Alaba asked for a salary that was considered too high.

However, Alaba argued that the Austrian player’s contribution was so great for Bayern. Since his debut in 2008, Alaba has always been the top choice at the back because he is versatile, playing at left back or center back.

Even David Alaba several times played as a midfielder. So losing a player like Alaba will be very detrimental to Bayern. Hansi Flick tries to persuade the 28-year-old player to sign a contract as soon as possible.

“I hope he immediately signs a new contract with Bayern because I think he knows what the situation in Munich is like now,” said Hansi Flick as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“We are all happy here, the atmosphere is good within the team, and we are playing extraordinary. This is one of the best clubs in the world,” he continued.

“He will think about it, I’m sure of that. But we have to respect whatever decision he makes. I hope he will stay with us, but the final decision is up to him,” concluded Hansi Flick.
