It turns out that she was suspicious when he had to travel on business, often in nightclubs before that. “She didn’t trust it. I thought: I’m just sending pictures that I’m in nightclubs.” All of the couple’s time went into their business. “We were open all year round, except between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but then you went to your parents in the Netherlands. We have drifted apart.” The two divorced in 2015, but couldn’t buy each other out, so they both still reside at the B&B in Pistoia.

entertainment">A disadvantage for Hans, who, as if the concept wasn’t complicated enough with several love-seeking guests at the same time in his B&B, now also has to deal with the dynamics between them and his ex. He would have preferred to have the women take turns staying overnight, but he understands that that is not the concept. Nevertheless, the program was just a bit convenient. When he was approached by a travel agency at the end of last year and applied through a casting agency, he had just realized that love would not come his way on his own. “It made me desperate and wanted to try one more time.”

entertainment">That he preferred to see a younger woman, of 35 or ‘maximum 50’ years old? “I am looking for a younger woman, because there is also a lot of work to be done in the bed and breakfast.” And what else does he look for in a woman? “Perhaps too much. Maybe I’m setting the bar too high.”
