Hans Flick, coach of the German national team, is close to leaving his post due to the poor results suffered by the machines during the recent period.
The German newspaper “Bild” said that Julian Nagelsmann, the former coach of Bayern Munich, entered the list of coaches nominated to train the Manshafts to succeed Flick, whose departure was close to leading the national team.
The German newspaper added that there are some people familiar with German football who believe that Julian Nagelsmann is the only available coach who deserves to succeed Flick in the event that he is replaced from his position for the German national team.
Bild stated that despite the full support that Flick receives from senior officials in Germany, he is threatened with leaving if he does not make strong offers during the coming period before the start of the Euro 2024 tournament.
The newspaper concluded that the German national team match against France, which will be held next September, is considered a decisive match for Flick’s future, as he must present a competitive team ready to compete for the Euro title.
Nagelsmann led Bayern Munich in 84 games in all competitions, during which he achieved 60 victories, in addition to 14 draws, while he received 10 defeats. He also crowned the German League title with the Bavarian team, and the German Super Cup twice.
