HANQING DING teamed up with Danish accessories brand EVITA PERONI to release the spring and summer 2025 collection on October 12th. The theme of this series is “Jump into the Water”. In this series, heavy rain without warning became an inspiration, fueling the desire and passion for the unknown. In the water, we not only see chaos and liberation, but also a kind of inner freedom and tension. The heavy rain broke the orderly world, and we chose to jump into it, it was full of rock spirit and romantic heart that was represented by HANQING DING. The flowing lines and transparent fabric with layers describe the unique feminine temperament, while the irregular woven pleat details symbolize the traces of water washing, revealing a sense of invisible power. This is not only a pursuit of freedom in the water, but also an expression of a “soft and bony” heart, providing a beauty that is both gentle and firm. This “jumping into the water” is a rebellion against rationing and order, and it is also a tribute to the suffering man himself. In the turmoil, what we see is the rebirth of beauty.
This series continues the brand’s innovative ethos of combining French presentation and knitting technology, boldly using transparent fabrics and fully layered pleat designs, illuminating the boundaries between hardness and softness, and provides the perfect combination of strength and femininity. The unique tailoring is similar to the roughness and asymmetry washed away by the water, adding an unexpected visual effect. Whether it’s light fabrics or complex weaving techniques, the designer integrates the free spirit and strong heart of the water in every work through delicate expressive techniques. “Jump into the Rain” delivers a visual and dual sensory experience. The irregular woven pieces are not only the main feature of the design, but they also symbolize the signs of natural forces in our life – the rest after being washed away by water, symbolizes beauty resilience Softness and hardness release a deep beauty beyond the surface. The designer incorporates classic rock elements and a romantic heart in streamlined silhouettes and layered fabrics, breaking conventional boundaries. Not only pursuing innovation at the design level, but also digging deep at the spiritual level.
“Leap into the Rain” is not only a visual feast, but also a rebellion against order and protection, and a tribute to his own courage and passion. Women who are reborn in the wind and water, “with soft and bones” – show the main strength of fearlessness and endurance. In the designer’s eyes, this heavy rain seems to be an emotional trigger. The designer gave this series an inherent meaning – water washes away the order of the world and gives us the right to freedom. Choosing to jump into it is a choice and an attitude. The rebellion and perseverance of women who are reborn in the storm is also a key concept that the designer wants to explain. HANQING DING encourages people to move forward without fear and bravely embrace the true freedom within when they face temptations and challenges in life. No matter how turbulent the outside world is, maintaining self-confidence and commitment is the special beauty of every woman.

HANQING DING brand manager Han Qing graduated from the Royal College of Art in women’s knitting. In 2022, he founded the eponymous knitwear brand of designer HANQING DING in Shanghai. He won the 2022 RISE UP Sustainable Design Challenge Finalist and was shortlisted for the VogueChina Fashion Fund Innovation Designer Award 2024.
