Hanover: garden oasis in the middle of the city
Not quite above the clouds, but on the roofs of the city: In Hanover, a new project is to counteract the effects of climate change – roof gardens and green facades in the middle of the city are planned for this! The roofs would then be connected to one another by bridges: “City roofwalks” ensure a safe transition from roof to roof, as the city of Hanover announced.
The starting shot should be given on the car park roof in Schmiedestrasse: There a roof garden should not only provide a better climate balance, but also provide a spectacular feeling when taking a walk! The green construction on the 3,300 square meter car park is to start in 2024 – in 2025 you should be able to have your first picnic on the roof garden!
