Düsseldorf – Hannover 96 aspiring to promotion has taken the lead in the 2nd Bundesliga for at least 24 hours.

The Lower Saxony came on the 3rd match day on Saturday in the derby against Eintracht Braunschweig with a 4-1 (0-0) win for the second win of the season and took the lead from the top favorites Hamburger SV, who only played against Erzgebirge Aue on Sunday (1 p.m.) ) plays. Bundesliga relegated SC Paderborn remains as well as promoted Eintracht Braunschweig after three game days without a three-point. Jahn Regensburg moved up to sixth after the 1-0 (1-0) success against Karlsruher SC.

Hanover was the dominant team in the Lower Saxony derby on Saturday, but had to go 1-0 down through a lucky goal from Martin Kobylanski (52nd), before Linton Maina (54th) equalized. A double strike from strikers Hendrik Weydandt and Niklas Hult (71st / 74th) then gave Hannover the lead. Genki Haraguchi then finished with the 4: 1 (86th).

The Paderborns, plagued by injury concerns, won the first point in the 0-0 draw in Heidenheim, but are in 16th place in the table. The guests had to do without the long-injured players Chima Okoroji, Sven Michel and Maximilian Thalhammer and delivered a solid performance in a balanced game.

Last year’s twelfth Jahn Regensburg remained undefeated in the third game of the season and came 1-0 (1-0) through Andreas Albers’ goal (44th) and benefited from the fact that Philipp Hofmann hit the keeper with a penalty in the 51st minute Alexander Meyer failed. In the final phase, the hosts were missing Benedikt Gimber, who received a yellow-red card in the 81st minute.

FC St. Pauli and VfL Bochum had already missed the leap to the top of the table on Friday evening. The Hamburgers lost 0-1 at SV Sandhausen. Bochum did not win in the 0-0 win against VfL Osnabrück either in the second home game, but like the Lower Saxony they remain undefeated.
