Police have arrested the Chief REIT Galang District, North Sumatra, Welly, for allegedly uploading a photo Megawati Soekarnoputri holding President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This is what Welly looked like at the police station.
Judging from the photos received detikcom, Friday (27/11/2020), Welly was seen wearing a blue shirt and white cap. Welly’s hands were visible.
Welly was arrested at his home in Galang, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. After being investigated, Welly was named a suspect in suspected hate speech.
“Against suspects subject to Article 45 paragraph (3) in conjunction Article 27 paragraph (3) Law Number 19 Year 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 Year 2008 concerning ITE or Article 310 of the Criminal Code in conjunction Article 316 of the Criminal Code or Article 207 of the Criminal Code, “said the Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police, AKBP MP Nainggolan.

The police also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence, including three cell phones and one handcuff.
“The perpetrator was arrested while at his residence.posting photo of Megawati carrying President Joko Widodo using handphone, “said Nainggolan.
Welly allegedly uploaded a photo of Megawati carrying Jokowi on Facebook because she was unhappy with Jokowi’s leadership. Welly is currently detained and is still being investigated at the North Sumatra Regional Police.
“Maybe he feels unhappy with his leadership,” said Nainggolan.
The police confiscated evidence in this case, namely 3 units of cellphones, ID cards, and 1 handcuff.
