Handcuffed suspicious flight after accident in Veenendaal | The valley

At around 4:45 p.m., three cars collided with each other for unknown reasons. One person had to be taken to hospital for treatment. The physical damage is considerable.

According to witnesses, two men fled after the accident. One of them is said to have been arrested at the Blauwgras, not far from the accident site. The police have not confirmed that.

The police distributed a Burgernet message around 6 p.m. on Sunday. In it, they say they are still looking for a unkempt-looking suspect who managed to escape handcuffed. The man has a flax beard, is in his mid-twenties, thin, tinted, and wears a dark hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath.

A police helicopter was also used in the search.
