Handball player Lilou Pintat turns professional in Dijon

Arrived this season in Dijon, the Bragarde Lilou Pintat signed her first professional contract with her new team, until 2026. She keeps an intact motivation to always go higher in her sport.

The JDA Dijonin the women’s first division, it is a 6e provisional place in the championship, eleven points from first place held by Metz. In its ranks is a Haut-Marnaise: the Bragarde Lilou Pintat, who joined the Burgundy section in 2021, in the training center.

Of the seven victories acquired this season, Lilou Pintat contributed to that against Besançon in the first leg. She who was transferred to the pivot position, her adaptation was quick and effective… before a setback.

“After French Cup matches, I injured my thumb,” she explains. “I had to take a break to recover for six weeks. But that didn’t stop me in my goals. »

She does not think so well: at the start of the year, Bragarde was able to sign her very first professional contract for next season. Here is her future assured for at least three years: she will be, the first year, designated “pro trainee”, before becoming “pro” for the next two years.

“My way of working will remain the same, although it’s a huge consecration to get there,” says the native of Saint-Dizier. “I will no longer be, per se, the little young person from the training center. »

Europe and Haute-Marne in your thoughts

Now that she knows her program for the next few years, Lilou Pintat will be able to fully lower her head to end the season with a bang. The seven victories of Dijon place, for the time being, the team in 6e place.

The last match to date took place at home, during the reception of Nice, which was lost (25-27). Lilou Pintat has only made a few meetings this season, including one in the league. Does this mean that the Bragarde, with its new status, will get more playing time?

“It will be at the discretion of the coach,” she replies. “The signing of this contract is the logical continuation of my progress. Negotiations went well and agreements were reached. Anyway, my motivation remains intact and I will be second in the pivot position. »

For this season, an ambitious objective has been set: to seek the “Top 5”, synonymous with European qualification. The last eleven days will be decisive. “We are targeting European markets very clearly. We will have to take the points when the matches are ready. And we shouldn’t deprive ourselves of a flawless race,” says Lilou Pintat. A professional player from Haute-Marne…necessarily, this brings back memories: the beginnings in Froncles, where she grew up, then the passages in Chevillon and Chaumont among others. “I have many good memories of my years at home in Haute-Marne. The professional world is very different, but I measure the progress made since the beginning. When I was playing with girlfriends in particular. I’m proud to have come to this. »
