The handball players from HSG Grüppenbühren/Bookholzberg celebrated their third win in a row and consolidated their lead in the league table in the Oberliga Nord. Coach Stefan Buß’s team confidently won the home game against TSV Bremervörde on Wednesday evening with 38:30 (15:13). “We are very happy with the result,” said assistant coach Werner Dörgeloh, but also had some bad news to announce: “Unfortunately, we bought the victory at a high price because Kian Krause dislocated his shoulder and had to be picked up by the ambulance. “
The first half was evenly played in the hall on Ammerweg. After six minutes it was 4:4. The hosts then led 9:7 (21), but shortly afterwards they were behind 9:10 (23). “We started a bit slowly and initially made Bremervörde’s goalkeeper the king,” said Dörgeloh. At halftime the home team led 15:13.
Special praise for Voigt
In the second round, the district HSG initially pulled away a little to 18:13 (34th) and 20:16 (37th), before the guests came back to 20:22 (41st). As a result, the league leaders exploited their physical and playful advantages. “We were able to change things up and everyone contributed well. Thanks to a concentrated performance, we gradually pulled away,” said Dörgeloh.
Florian Honschopp, who scored nine times in total, made it 26:21 (44th). Right winger Helge Voigt, who scored ten goals, made it 28:22 (46th). “Helge did very well at the front and back,” praised Dörgeloh. Now the home team’s lead was always at least three goals. With Voigt and twice Honschopp, the most accurate players were responsible for the last three goals to make the final score 38:30. The Buß-Seven will continue on November 9th with a real top game against TuS Rotenburg, second in the table, but without Krause. “We are strong enough to absorb this. We will approach the Rotenburg game very easily,” said Dörgeloh.
