Place for the 12th day of the Butagaz Energie League
If we know since last week the names of the eight teams qualified in the play-offs and that of the six teams playing the play-downs, the seven matches of the 12th day of the Butagaz Energy League scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, February 10) remain important to accumulate points for the second part of the season.
At the end of this day, only two postponements will remain to be played so that all the teams have played 13 matches in total. The play-offs and play-downs phases will begin on the weekend of February 27 and 28: the order of the matches will be communicated by the Competitions Organizing Committee at the end of the matches of this regular phase, i.e. after the 17th February.

Play-offs
The eight teams ranked from 1 to 8 at the end of the 13th day, either in alphabetical order, Besançon, Bourg de Péage, Brest, Chambray, Metz, Nantes, Nice and Paris participate in the play-offs and start with the points acquired on all the matches of the 1st phase. All teams will play a total of 9 matches:
• February 27 to May 12: 7 matches (second leg of the 1st phase) on February 27/28, March 06/07, March 13/14, March 27/28, April 28, May 01/02 and May 08/09 .
• May 19 and 23: finals in home and away matches between 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, 5th vs 6th and 7th vs 8th.
The classification will be established at the end of the finals. The team winning the final between 1st and 2nd at the end of the return matches will be declared the French Champion.
Play-downs
The six teams ranked 9 to 14 at the end of the 13th day, either in alphabetical order Dijon, Fleury, Mérignac, Plan de Cuques, Saint-Amand, Toulon Saint-Cyr, participate in the play-downs and start with the points acquired over all the matches of the 1st phase. The 2nd phase will be organized in 15 matches with 5 matches corresponding to the return matches of the 1st phase and 10 home and away matches:
• Dates: February 27/28, March 3, March 06/07, March 13/14, March 27/28, March 31, April 03/04, April 10/11, April 28, May 01/02, May 08/09 May, May 12, May 19, May 23 and May 29/30.
At the end of the 15 dates, the team ranked last will be relegated to women’s D2 for the 2021-22 season.
